Car Park Paved with Gold

(Well Golden brick paving)

Well ten years after our first application our patience has paid off and we now have permission to redevelop our top car park.

As soon as we close the doors (please don’t be sad, you need the break) on November the 11th the diggers will move in and work will commence.

So when you come and see us (you know you want to) from March 14th 2008 your parking experience will be oh so enhanced. No more noisy gravel! Exciting eh?

More and more of our guest’s are increasingly interested in the history of the site that is La Barbarie. So for those of you interested in all things past please follow the link to a brief if ancient history. More here >

Meet Colin Pearson

Head Chef Colin is now in his third year and despite all my efforts is still a Newcastle United Supporter. I can already hear Mr Jones of Boston applauding as I write this. His football team’s lack of consistency is not an affliction Colin suffers from.

Old Barbarians and our local customers consistently praise Chef for the food he produces. As an extract of Mr Cottingham’s letter put it so well “ we so enjoyed our meals and the very expert way it was cooked and presented.” And then there was Mrs Lesbirel “As always the food was superb and we felt so looked after by you all”

Thanks to Colin and his team “Ed.

More improvements in Restaurant Comfort

Three Chairs. Hip Hip Hooray. Well 70 New chairs actually to replace the creaky ones that have had quite a lot of surgery over the past 16 years. Amazing what you can do with Super Glue and a few nails!!
